Rutschnan just needs to play.  Given that this is a throw away year, I would be surprised to see him in Baltimore. I think we see him May of 22

So I generally agree with all of Trezza's answers there.

 

re Rutschman: I'll continue to hold my perspective of the larger Elias goal.  Rutschman is the biggest part of it.

 

re Lineup: I get that's just his Opening day lineup versus a RHer, but if Hays isn't a big piece of this thing, that feels like a fail to me.

 

re Pitching Innings: So I've said this in a couple of other places in recent discussions.  I don't know that we need the franticness of the way he writes it.  It's a real challenge.  OK, it's a challenge.  Just do what you need to do.  Which is largely what I think teams will do.  The only thing he doesn't mention (which I think it important to that process) is roster size and options.  More players means more movement and roster rules are still roster rules and may not accommodate that so well....so if you're a pitcher on the 40....you are probably seeing ML innings this year.
