After nearly a week off since their last game, the Terps will be back in action at home against #24 Purdue on Tuesday evening. In their first meeting on Christmas Day in West Lafayette, the Boilermakers came away with the close 73-70 victory. Matt Painter is in his 16th season as Purdue's head coach, and his team currently holds a 12-6 (7-4) record. They've won 5 of their last 6 games, including victories over Minnesota and Ohio State.

 

KenPom currently ranks Purdue at #24, while Maryland comes in at #44.

They're also #24th now in the AP (unranked in the coaches poll). So another opportunity for a W against a quality opponent.

It's a game MD needs to win.  Won't be easy at all, but you've had time to prepare.  You've seen them once, you are home this time. 
You need a game where you come out strong, and don't have those extended lulls.

There's never been a game in basketball history where "make your free throws" wouldn't be important but they lost to Purdue by three points in a game they went 10-for-21 at the line so if they can just make something closer to 80%, that'd be a big help

That was a killer. Just a phenomenal defensive series up until the point of leaving Ivey wide open for that 3. Loved the physicality in blocking the lanes, bodying up on the big men.
