Seems like Baltimore gets the better end of the deal by actually getting to host games.

This feels like a huge win for Baltimore.

I think you misread that, they are complaining about Fedex, unless I missed something

So the biggest shocker: DC/Baltimore is shut out from World Cup 2026. Stunned. Event not coming to capital of key host country.

Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New York and Miami chosen as the “eastern” host cities.

Damn you know what stinks, is Canada only got 2 of their 3 cities which meant there was an extra one for US and it still didn't matter.

I really thought they’d be a shoe-in once they merged the Baltimore and DC bids.

Baltimore's reputation precedes itself

So I guess Houston was the city that they most likely lost out to. That really sucks. Seems they just didn't buy into the two cities 50 miles apart co-hosting scheme, since it's pretty rare that the host's capital city isn't featured in a WC (unless you want to count Mexico City).

Saw someone say lack of adequate public transit was a driving factor behind the decision. Which is a fair point, but not if you’re going to give it to freaking Kansas City instead lol

Not to mention that Foxboro is 45 minutes from Boston

Not to mention no public rail lines that will get you anywhere close to AT&T stadium in Arlington and SoFi stadium in Inglewood. That sounds like BS to me. Between the MARC and light rail, M&T has way better transit than several of the chosen spots.

It seems like Boston is the city that beat out Baltimore/DC and the primary reason may have been Robert Kraft's longtime relationship with the president of FIFA.
