This will be an interesting list and conversation. Lots of room for disagreement what even makes an eligible candidate and then how do you objectively rank things that are defined by their subjectivity. Really this is an autobiographical list, because these types of movies are enjoyed because of who you watched (and rewatched and quoted) them with just as much as the content of the movie itself.
Of the ones on the list that I've seen, my favorites in an attempted order are:
Big Lebowski
Office Space
Wet Hot American Summer
Dazed and Confused
Clerks
Rushmore
Donnie Darko
Reservoir Dogs
Super Troopers
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Spinal Tap
Fear & Loathing
American Psycho
The Thing
Empire Records
Army of Darkness
Clue
The Warriors
Evil Dead 2
Event Horizon
Through Monty Python are movies I love, I thoroughly enjoy through Empire Records and like the others.

Is Big Lebowski really a cult classic if it debuts at Sundance? I seem to remember that movie being a pretty big deal right away, the Cohen bros coming off of Fargo and all.
Pretty sure Clerks also won awards at Cannes.
Pretty much what Mackus said, some disagreement on what qualifies is certain.

The original "Death Race 2000" is mysteriously missing (from the "So Bad It's Great" category)...
Speaking of 2000... where is "Cherry 2000"... it deserves a place...

Beat me to it. So good
Would you like to know more?
I actually read the book too, it's got a different vibe but was a fun read from what I remember.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Interesting post - I really don't know too much about the industry like some others here, but I always thought appearances/awards at festivals like Cannes and Sundance were more for cult classics over mainstream hits?

Grandma's Boy is one I would add as well. It's trash, but I love it.
