Starting to sound like Aric Harris won't be ready in time to be the team's starting center this season, so I've altered my projections a bit. Based on what I've heard/read/seen:

LT: 1. Jaelyn Duncan, 2. Delmar Glaze

LG: 1. Mason Lunsford, 2. Ja'Khi Green

C: 1. Johari Branch, 2. Aric Harris

RG: 1. Evan Gregory, 2. Amelio Moran

RT: 1. Spencer Anderson, 2. Marcus Finger

I've heard good things about Glaze, and he'd likely take over if a need opened up at the RT position as well. In all honesty they should seriously consider moving Fontaine back to the defensive side of the ball. If he still can't/won't put on the necessary weight to play center/guard, put him at 3-technique or something. At least you could get some use out of him.

Sounds like Brian Cobbs has been lighting it up at WR. This team has 4-5 absolute studs at the WR position, the possibilities for Dan Enos are endless. Also heard that Chigoziem Okonkwo was unstoppable during Saturday's scrimmage. He's made huge strides since the 2019 season and will be a nightmare for opposing defenses if utilized correctly.

He's been moved to TE. Would still rather see him back on defense, but I could see him working out as a blocking TE when they go 12 personnel.

Sounds like Rakim Jarrett and Dontay Demus will both return kickoffs this year, with Jarrett also serving as the primary punt returner.

Based on Jeshaun Jones’ Instagram story, it looks like DL Greg Rose has been awarded a scholarship. He’s a guy flying under the radar who could see the field a bit this season.

BSL: 2021 Defense Preview

https://baltimorespo...efense-preview/

With Maryland's first game of the 2021 season just over a week away, I finish my preseason previews by taking a look at new defensive coordinator Brian Stewart's unit.

Confirmed, and it was Kevin Durant who gave Rose the news while FaceTiming with the team yesterday.

KD is about 15 years too late with the UM love.

Mike Canales has been added to the coaching staff as an offensive analyst. His relationship with Locksley goes back to 1995 when they both coached at Pacific together. He’d spent the last 3 years as UTEP’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, where he recruited and coached Locksley’s son Kai.

Maryland will debut these white versions of their 1980s throwback uniforms when they open the season next weekend against West Virginia.

Apparently Evan Gregory has been dealing with a knee injury that's kept him out of practice, so Aric Harris has slid into the starting lineup on the offensive line. Not sure if Gregory is expected to be back by Saturday.

Former QB Tyrrell Pigrome has transferred again, this time to Ole Miss where he’ll reunite with former head coach DJ Durkin.

Agree with basically everything here. They looked pretty hopeless stopping Ibrahim last year so him being out for the year might be enough to decide that game for Maryland.

The Terps defense does have talent, but until they can start recruiting and developing stud D-Linemen, we will always far short of challenging for more than minor bowls. The O-Line is another area of serious concern. In the meantime, it's fun to see the guys we have playing their hearts out and showing signs of a bowl season.

West Virginia just beat #15 Virginia Tech, which is good news for Maryland. Makes that win look even better.

Maryland received a few more votes in this week’s AP Poll, and is ranked #30.

I'd like them to stay right around there for a while. Let them continue to build character before inflating the collective ego of the room.

Yeah, I don't think they've earned it yet. And I don't think any result this Sat will change that.

I like the idea of them being unranked when Iowa comes in. And considering they play Colorado St, I think it's safe to say the Hawkeyes will still at least be #5. And if I'm not mistaken, MD has not beaten a Top 5 team since they beat Florida St back in 2004.
