I guess that means there are concerns among NFL teams about how serious the knee injury was and if it will diminish his athleticism, so he's coming back to show them. Without knowing his prognosis, it seems very risky to return; but if there was a possibility he wouldn't be drafted this year, then it does make some sense if he's confident he'll bounce back.
Sounds like he may miss some time into next season, and may not fully return until the midway point. If that holds true, it'd obviously be the primary reason for his return.
