BSL: 2021 NBA Last-Minute Mock Draft (Lottery Edition)

I also like the Mobley-Chris Bosh comparison.  Mobley probably needs to add some upper body strength, but Cleveland should run the card up there if he falls to 3.

My, how times have changed. The five college basketball ‘blue bloods’ - Duke, UNC, UCLA, Kentucky, and Kansas, together, produced a total of zero players drafted among the first 19 picks in the NBA Draft on Thursday night. The G League outdid each and every one of them. Among both the first 19 and the full 60. Different times, for sure.

College basketball will never again be what it was in its ‘golden ages’ of the 80s (ok, we can add ‘79, Magic v Bird). Nothing will come close. Jordan, Magic, Bird, Hakeem, Barkley, Zeke, ‘Mailman’, ‘Nique, ‘The Admiral’, Drexler, Mullin, Kidd, Worthy, McHale, and Stockton, were all products of those times, and the list goes on.

If your goal is to play in the NBA as soon as possible, does it really matter where you go? Here is where the top four players drafted Thursday night played last season;

Oklahoma State
G League
USC
Florida State

A college baseball powerhouse (has advanced to 34 of the last 40 NCAA tournaments), a minor league, and two legendary football programs. Florida State had three players drafted. Alabama had as many players drafted as did Duke, UNC, UCLA, and Kansas, combined. One could say ‘the tide has turned’.
