Orioles claimed RHP Ashton Goudeau, who was DFA'd by the Rockies and Pirates over the last two weeks or so.

 

6'6" righty who made his MLB debut at 28 last year with the Rockies, pitching in garbage time. 

 

Last full season was in 2019 at Double-A level: 2.07 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 91 K/23 BB in 78 innings that season. Older reliever with minor league options/replaces Austin Wynns on the 40-man roster. 

 

Orioles stockpiling tall arms for the Triple-A bullpen apparently.

I have no problem grabbing guys like this.  Side Note: there's a lot of them.

 

If you want to develop impact players, you have to identify, acquire then develop them.

 

There's nothing special about your ML win position for doing that. 

You can always grab an Ashton Gordeau if you think there's a tool-box that hasn't been unlocked yet.  That's fine.
