The All Star Game is being taken away from Atlanta.
Hurting the fans for political reasons??

Wow MLB actually did the right thing. Bring it to Baltimore!
Where not many can attend and no one wants to visit the city.

Mussina could throw out the first pitch while the crowd chants Cito sucks.

Tip of the cap, MLB, kudos.

Given the...err...makeup of the fans, I'm really shocked that they did this.
And pleasantly surprised.
Not the financially smart thing to do, but absolutely the RIGHT thing to do.

Is OH going to close again over this?
I swear on my wife, kids, job, and everything else, I thought the same exact thing.

Is OH going to close again over this?
I'm so mad that I didn't think of this.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, Georgia.
But I don't know that doing this hurts the people it's intended to hurt. And there is a lot of collateral damage. Still, hopefully it's a way to apply whatever pressure can be applied by outside entities and get Georgia to fix this mistake and give other states pause before following suit.
Please enlighten me on just what the mistake is that needs to be fixed?

I think this is the best point being made!
Like the ridiculous "bathroom bill" a few years back in North Carolina. The NBA moved the All Star Game, and the NCAA moved rounds 1 and 2 of the tournament to South Carolina, and they repealed the bill, and likely prevented other states from doing the same thing.

So funny. If he doesn't like it, it can't be discussed.
But again, we're the "snowflakes". Hystercial.

In general, I think it's a mistake to make it more difficult for people to vote and completely unethical to make it more difficult for specific people to vote. And it's an obvious power play towards that end to put in provisions allowing the controlling party in the legislature to make decisions on a county by county basis. Please enlighten me on just what the mistake is that needs to be fixed?

Fair enough. I have also read the synopsis and don't see it as reducing ability to vote one bit. We'll just agree to disagree.
