Whod’a thought we might ever be looking back on the Randy Edsall era and thinking, “those days weren’t so bad after all?”

I mean, you have a chance at the end of the game to put one in, end the game at least on a positive note, and you don't make any real attempt to get in the end zone.  Just let the clock run out inside the 10 with 20 seconds left and time-outs.

I just don't get it.  Of course it doesn't really mean anything, but every coach in the world at least tries right?

I was eating dinner at the end of the game and had to go back on the DVR to check out that final sequence. That Locksley didn't make more of an effort to get in the end zone by using the three timeouts they had is pretty much all the indictment anyone should need with regard to his coaching abilities. How do you not make more effort to try to score in that situation and give your players something to feel good about after such an awful night? Does he think he taught them some sort of lesson by making them walk off the field without a TD?

I unfortunately remember the 90s and I can confidently say Locksley is the worst MD football coach over the last 30 years. Maybe ever. Top recruits and their families may love Locksley but ultimately they're not going to send them here if the players are going to be this poorly coached.

I had tuned out and the baseball game was great.  How close where they to the goal line?

They had first and goal with just under 20 seconds left. Use your timeouts and you should have at least three shots with all your playbook available. They ran the ball one play and just let the clock expire.

That does not send the fight to the end message you want a team to have.
