Old Tommy Boy is looking at another suspension
Isn't it his first since 2018?

It is, which is enough time to avoid this coming as a repeat offense. Having said that I'm sure his reputation certainly played into him getting 7 games. It's funny when I first heard about this possible suspension I thought it was for this open ice hit he had on a guy last week, not the one that resulted in the review.

I think you defend it just being speed of the game, but not with Wilson's reputation. Whether fair or unfair.

These reverse retro jerseys are sweet.

They really are. I would like to see them move on from the current uniform set.

They seem to have moved beyond the "no lead is too big" phase of the season.
...aaaaaand it’s back

Yeah, at 4-1 I thought it was smooth sailing. Glad they at least got the W in OT.

More importantly, they're 2-0 without Tom Wilson, which is a huge loss.

Solid week, 4 wins with 3 against Philly. I really thought Saturday was going to OT.

Weird how that stuff kinda went away when Sammy got Covid and was out and now that he’s back it’s flaring up again. I don’t even think it’s been him every game it’s just really weird that it happens to coincide. Maybe they were playing different when they were down certain players and they need to look at that real close.

Agreed, it's concerning for sure. And certainly not built for playoff hockey.
Enjoying the run nevertheless. Great to start 4-0 in the 7 sans Wilson. Great job by the team there.

They've had 2 trade deadline preview kinda posts in the Athletic this week, and both said they seem to be good with D depth, with TvR and Seigs not even being able to crack the lineup, and Kempny possibly coming back the end of April, but were monitoring the goaltending situation, especially Sammy.
With the expansion draft coming up, it's eerily reminding me of past scenarios where we had like Dafoe and Kolzig come up at the same time, or when we had Varly, and Neuvy. Sometimes you gotta choose one and ride it, and deal the other one. We could get forced into that kinda situation, but being a LTIR team, we'd have to clear salary if Kempny or Henrik came back or we tried to get someone new.

5-0 without Wilson. Six different Caps scored against Buffalo tonight in a Vitek Vanecek shutout.
I’m not gonna lie. I saw 4-0 end of 2nd and swore I was gonna get home to 4-3 with 3 min left.
Good on VV for closing that out.

Kinda thought the same thing... then I remembered it was Buffalo. They really are inept, and missing one of their best players.
