I agree, I was being serious. He is slow in his moves and plays with his hands down, but good coaching could help.

He’s been coached by two of the best big men to ever play the game of basketball, so I wouldn’t have any hope that Grant Billmeier could get much more out of him than Ewing or Manning could.

He had decent success with GTown and Ewing.

Last year was a mess from the beginning.  I easily could see him being more productive with a new offense and coaching staff.

And considering Manning was thrust into the head coaching role during the early part of the season, he may not have had much time to work individually with Wahab. I would obviously prefer someone like Abogidi or someone of his ilk, but if the choice is Wahab or nothing, I'd take him back if he wants to return.

Certainly Wahab is better than nothing, if he does want to return. Never heard any issues about attitude or personality, which would be the only reason to ever choose a walk on over a borderline starting caliber player.

Maryland is in the final 3 for Abogidi, but has been tied to the SEC, which might put Florida in good shape.  He also has Arizona St. on his top 3.

Keith Cavanaugh was on 105.7 today  and he said Maryland feels like they will land 2 bigs in the next few weeks,  He feels like they have a slight lead on landing Abogidi

Carey has committed to Maryland. Big pickup for Willard and his staff.

As expected, Carey has officially withdrawn from the NBA Draft and will suit up for Maryland next season.

Good news.   I like that this is a 1 year scholarship.  I think Carey helps, but hopefully the 23 season brings better talent.  I do like that Carey shot 39% from downtown.

Sounds like Abogidi is headed to the NBA’s G-League.

Well that is disappointing.  He is likely not ready for the NBA, but the G-League gives kids that do not want to go to school an option.

He did opt for the G league, after it looked like he was ready to commit to the Terps.  That sucks, but hopefully they can add at least one adequate big body for 22-23.

I guess the G-League pays better than that $160 MD has in their NIL collective on GoFundMe.

You really think this guy is worth all the NIL money?

Probably more like $5-$10. There’s lots of kids to spread those riches to.

MD's new recruiting pitch: "Come here and you'll make just enough for a burrito at Chipotle! You'll have to cover a drink on your own."

Looks like McNeilly ended up at Pitt. Our guard situation looks good. Our wing/forward positions pretty good, we just need a quality big to help Reese. Wahab was overwhelmed in the BIG with so many quality big men night in & night out. Also, he was a pure center that was only effective within 5-8 ft of the basket. Hopefully, there is someone out there that can spell Reese and that can hold their own against other bigs, we'll see.

I like that he is a 4 year guy and hopefully they can develop him. If nothing else he gives them size for next year.

Emilien is also a Canadien.

Maybe Willard has enough guys to play uptempo.

If not, UM can always start a hockey program.
