And Yoda was also a what, a Senator in the prequel trilogy? People don’t know his species at all?

Finished it last night. Really, really enjoyed it. Proves there’s good stories to tell in this universe and not just about Skywalker or even people from the films. It got a little procedureish in the middle but it ended strong.

It was good but, much like the real Star Wars, there are some inconsistencies.

Also, who is baby yoda? Is it like an offspring of Yoda?

I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoyed S1, and I'm at 100% SW burnout at this point. So I think that really emphasizes how good it is.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

The Skywalker storylines have been beaten to death and unfortunately ROS ended it on a sour note. But the independent stories being told in the SW universe, like Mandalorian and Rogue One have been great. So I am looking forward to more stories in this world that don’t have to do with the Skywalker family.

Loved season one, so this is exciting. Is Favreau still the show runner?

Yeah I believe he is. He also directed at least the first episode of the upcoming season.

Then I shall keep expectations high.

As long as him and Dave Filoni are involved, I have all the trust in the world in them.

I started watching it to see what's the deal with baby Yoda and wound up watching the 11 Star Wars because I liked it so much, so I think I'd say I'm excited for S2

It's Kurosawa in space.  I'm still surprised they were allowed to make such a simplistic show.

It reads badly, but I don't mean it badly.  I love the show; it focuses on simple execution more than showy lightsaber duels and spectacle.

Strong start to the season.  They do such a good job respecting the hardcore Star Wars fans.

I like how much more we learn about the Tusken Raiders compared to the movies

They were pulling heavily from KOTOR.  That's how you win the fanbase.

If they do that reset that's been rumored and put Favreau and Filoni at the helm of the whole Star Wars thing, I bet we're going to get Thrawn movies.

I'll be honest, I thought this episode was underwhelming.
