What a well-executed relay - just like they teach it!
I must have missed practice that day....lol

When Iglesias is elected to the Hall of Fame, they will always show that Jeteresque cut-off.

If the throw is off line at all he's safe. Was a fine send.
Agree to disagree. I was yelling don't send him the whole time. Was obvious it wasn't deep enough.

BTW, had to leave for a minute so put on the radio for the last few outs... Melanie Newman is really bad. Indecisive, no emotion, not impressed, but I wanted to be.
Forget her Ricker, We beat these AH's a game. Ain't the beer Warm?

Based on the replay he was out by a fairly wide margin. I just don't agree.

Anyone who's calling their first season of MLB games from a bunch of monitors with no crowd energy to feed off is gonna have a harder time than usual

That is definitely fair, but she needs help describing the play, she is lacking in describing the action. IMO, everyone who is announcing off the monitor gets a mulligan this year. I do not believe I have heard her doing a homegame this year.
My one take on the announcers this year, more Kevin Brown.

No doubt. Very good point.
I was just really put off by the end of today's game. It was an out at the plate to end the game and secure an O's victory, and she described it like a pop-up for the first out of the inning. Not sure if that can be blamed on the conditions, but hopefully she improves, I really hope she does I think it's great overall.

Yep, it is not fair to make any judgements.

Either way, I'm not sure if yall remember how bad Bordick was when he started. Like, -bad- bad.
I still remember when someone (Chris Davis?) hit a grand slam at Yankee stadium that just bounced off of the top of the wall. An insane play, and should be treated accordingly.
Bordick paused and went, "That was awesome."
I mean, yikes.
Melanie gives me real early-Bordick vibes. I think she'll get it in time, especially when the crowds come.
