Yeah it's a huge "if" for this team. I'm more concerned about his health and dealing with the workload that's coming, seeing that he hasn't played a lot of basketball the last three years or so due to leg injuries. If Chol isn't up to the task, Maryland's in deep trouble.

I think there is skill there with Marial but the strength and endurance is going to be a real problem.  It seems like it is going to be real easy for a stronger player to move him.

With the class Turgeon is assembling for '21, there is nothing that could happen this '20-'21 season (if played) that won't have him back.

Maryland class in the top 10 for 21 right now.  The next need is a real point guard, which is the hardest thing to find now.

Good read.  I agree with pretty much everything.

I think Maryland ticks up if one of the young freshman guards makes a significant contribution

I feel like with Bruno and Jalen we've seen really solid progress from big men year one to year two, it'd be nice if Chol continues the trend

I agree but did Chol play and do enough to count last year as year 1?

Thanks Pat, your post today and Chris's yesterday got me feeling better about the Terps going forward.    Both Locks and Turgeon, have kept the eye on the prize during this time where everything is difficult and sports is on hold.

Let's hope better times are ahead on and off the field and court.

Well, it appears Hamilton isn't going to be approved for an NCAA waiver as previously expected.

Hamilton is expected to appeal the decision, but this certainly is a blow to Terps hoops.

Of course.

2020 FTW.

Huge blow indeed.

That sucks.   So much for the NCAA being all about the student athlete.  With what is going on this year, I figured Hamilton would have gotten his waiver.

Being positive about this,  it makes the incoming talent for 21 even more impressive.

I think it's like 50/50 that happens anyways.

The "fast" part won't be fast enough for me, though.
