The Gonzaga narrative should have been dead after '17. They were the best team in the country last year too. A modern day Duke before they took off into the stratosphere as one of the Blue Bloods. Mid to late 80s Duke.
Yeah any school that makes the national title game and then the Elite Eight two years can't reasonably be called disappointing

I'm going back way longer than the past few years, but point taken in terms of recency.

First team in the postseason....Loyola advances in the Patriot League tournament in a walkover. We may see a bunch of these this month.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Illinois with a dominant win over Michigan without Ayo Dosunmu, Maryland getting its win in Champaign without Ayala is one hell of an anomaly

Put em in Maryland's bracket! Hell give them a 10 seed if the Terps keep playing well enough to be a 7.

That's the only scenario I want Duke in the tourney. I'd love to play them.

Dukes 2nd loss in a row, took them from the 1st slot of the first 4 out to the last slot in the first 4 out. They'll lose to UNC, win an ACCT game or two, and of course they'll put them in the tournament.
Yea, the NCAA will bend over backwards to protect Duke. They will limp in and get the spot of someone who actually deserves it.

I actually hope Duke misses the tourney. I would love to see K, have to decline the NIT bid.

Indiana is looking at four straight non-winning seasons in B1G play with Archie Miller after firing Tom Crean. Feels like a lesson that firing a coach that does fine but underachieves doesn't automatically mean the new coach would be better. Perhaps there is another program in the Big Ten this could apply to.

I'd say the problem is probably not with the head coach at Indiana. Both Crean and Miller seemed like home run hires at the time, at least to me.

Being safe sucks. Id rather roll the dice every 4 or 5 years trying to find the guy that can win a National Championship vs having a guy that can get you somewhat consistently to the tournament but has no chance of winning it.
