Being safe sucks. Id rather roll the dice every 4 or 5 years trying to find the guy that can win a National Championship vs having a guy that can get you somewhat consistently to the tournament but has no chance of winning it.
That's fine but if they miss the tournament three times in four years after hiring the head coach at Belmont/St. Bonaventure/etc I sure would be interested to see how the fanbase talks about Turgeon

I've always liked the time he did a baseball game with Jason Benetti, feel like the pauses in baseball almost work better for him than they do in basketball

In my lifetime, I’m not sure I’ve cared less about Duke/Carolina. Both are on the bubble - or worse. Both haven’t sniffed the rankings toward the end of the season. It’s time for the average fan who tunes in during March to realize that basketball exists outside of the research triangle. There are some superb basketball teams. I can’t wait to see them in late March and tell their story.
Bonus long shot for your NCAA pool: San Diego State. The Aztecs will play their conference tourney later this week. Watch them!

Heels are safely in, I'm just hoping for a nice little run in the ACC tourney in hopes of getting a 7 seed..I want to avoid the 8 or 9 if possible. I'd be thrilled with a Sweet 16 appearance this year.

This week's ACC Tournament is the first in it's 68 year history where none of the top 4 seeds are from the state of North Carolina.

Weiskamp left the Iowa / Wisconsin game with an ankle injury.
Winthrop playing on ESPN. They look like they could be capable of winning a game in the NCAAT with the right matchup.

Hopefully they'll beat them again, but I'd think they're in regardless.
