Just finished The Sopranos last night, absolutely fantastic. Still need to watch Breaking Bad, might do that. Also want to re-watch The Americans.

Stuff I've really enjoyed recently:

  • The Sinner
  • Unbelievable
  • The OA
  • Schitt's Creek
  • Ozark
  • You
  • The Crown
  • Dirty John

And then there's stuff like Bloodline, Shameless, and Mindhunter as well. And if you're missing sports, QB1 and Last Chance U are great.

My wife and I have been enjoying Jack Ryan.  Not one you can watch when the kids are around though.

Instead our current binge watching is Liv and Maddie, Bella and the Bulldogs, The Amazing World of Gumball, and occasionally PJ Masks.

Cant watch baseball but MLB the Show comes out tomorrow for PS4. Full minor league rosters included for the first time. If you want to put the time and energy into making the Os contenders have at it. Great baseball game.

How is it?

I haven't gotten a baseball game since I think The Show 15. Only thing about franchise mode in games like this and Madden is you can make ridiculous trades, usually simplified to a 3 player max without other things involved, if you want to stack your team. You could land Mike Trout without giving up too much. Takes the fun out of trying to build something realistic.

Its terrific. The gameplay is top notch. I mostly play Diamond Dynasty which is the online card collecting/ fantasy mode. The good thing about San Diego Studios is they dont make it a complete cash grab with micro transactions like other games. You can earn plenty of stubs, packs, and cards by just playing some of the modes available within Diamond Dynasty. I preorder the game and dont spend another dime on it the rest of the year and eventually end up with most of the top cards.

Seen a lot of this from the sport specific networks.

Checked into SC this morning out of curiosity. They are stretching. It was Steph Curry's birthday so they showed like a 6 minute highlight reel.

Binged the entire McMillions doco yesterday. Solid, lighter style entertainment. But beware, it'll make you wanna run out for some Mickey D's.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Aside from a mild dropoff in the penultimate season, it remains exactly as excellent. On the short list of my favorite series ever.

It might be my favorite series ever.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Cool. Glad you loved it. It was very good....but I remember seasons would come and go and I’d be like, “that was the finale?”

anyway, started Billions today.

It was even better on a straight through binge. Lots to keep up with.

Billions also excellent. Rewatching now leading up to the new season.

That was one of the things I loved about The Americans was they would have these big huge plot points and twists in the middle of seasons, so you’re always on your toes.

Enjoying Billions so far. Only three episodes in but can’t help but compare it to Succession which it doesn’t hold a candle to.

so far.
