Did you misread Marshall as Maryland?
That post was from a month ago. At the time, Maryland was receiving votes.

Testudo Times: NCAA announces FBS teams can add postseason matchup
https://www.testudot...on-cancellation
Football Bowl Subdivision teams will be able to replace canceled bowl games after Dec. 19, the NCAA Football Oversight Committee announced Monday.
These matchups must replace a previously scheduled bowl game and will have to feature teams from the originally contracted conferences. The RedBox Bowl (Big Ten-Pac-12) and the Pinstripe Bowl (Big Ten-ACC) have already been called off this year. If Maryland is eligible for either of these bowl games, under the NCAA FOC’s stipulation, it can schedule a game against a different Pac-12 or ACC school.

Despite leading the country in pass breakups per game, CB Tarheeb Still didn't receive All-Big Ten honors.

Maryland football has informed the Big Ten it will not accept a bowl bid, per team spokesperson. The program’s activities remain paused because of positive coronavirus cases
Given how many Big Ten teams are opting out, they could probably get in the Outback Bowl if they wanted to. But it's the right decision to end this and move on to 2021.

Starting OL Marcus Minor has entered the transfer portal. Big loss for the team.

Every right to do what is best for him.
And the team is better with having the players who want to be there.
Still its frustrating to have the revolving door.
One step forward one step back.
College Sports have become like the pro's with the transfer portal becoming like free agency.

I had projected Minor to serve as the team's starting center next season. My new offensive line projection for 2021 would be:
LT: Jaelyn Duncan
LG: Johari Branch
C: Austin Fontaine
RG: Ja'Khi Green
RT: Spencer Anderson

This is absolutely the right move. Hopefully by spring ball, things will have calmed down and Maryland and many other programs can get back to football as normal or at least close.

Starting DB Antwaine Richardson has also entered the transfer portal. I had assumed his collegiate career was over after the team honored him on Senior Day.
With the "free year" because of Covid, I assume there will be many graduating seniors taking advantage of the possibilities and get an extra year.

Yeah I'd imagine it'll balance out for Maryland and they'll bring in some guys

RB Jake Funk is declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.
With his propensity for injuries, it's probably best for him not to spend another year in college if he wants to take his shot at the NFL.
On the other hand, with his propensity for injuries I can't see a team using a draft pick on him. It'll probably have to be the UDFA route.

At least they probably won't have to worry about a scholarship (money) crunch, with the seniors electing to move on and what is expected to be a full incoming class of freshmen.
