What was the game Lamar was constantly changing his cleats to start? Was that the KC game? I recall a slow start that game for everyone though, but I can't remember which game git was...so maybe that's not right.

I thought it was Seattle. And he ended up running all over them.

Not to start the game though...
FG, Punt, FG, Punt. And the defense had two touchdowns that day, so a 30 point day was really only a 16 point day for the offense. Just worth nothing since it was a road game and not great conditions.
That being said, the weather should be great tonight, so I don't think that's quite the same thing.

I wasn't disputing that it was a slow start, just saying that in the end, Jackson's performance on the ground is what got the offense going and propelled them to a win. The defensive scores obviously were a huge part of it as well.
Apparently the Sounders had just hosted a game the day before, on top of the poor weather in Seattle. Hopefully they can get the field in decent condition for tonight in LA.

Something to look out for tonight:

That's the kind of stuff that makes me nervous with Lamar making those cuts on a dime. Hopefully, it will be in decent shape at game time.

A slow field certainly seems to favor the Rams.

I feel like this is one of those things that Lamar transcends. Sloppy field? Defenders just look sillier trying to catch him.

Ramsey on Andrews tonight?

It may seem counterproductive but maybe the answer to Donald is just give him a heavy dose from the running game. Hit him hard and early and with him being so aggressive, eventually tire him out. What's sobering is the fact that you can't just concentrate on him. The Rams have other defensive game breakers to deal with. I'll say this- if the Ravens put up 30 points on this defense, then I'll be convinced that no one can stop them.

Not looking forward to Donald vs Skura and Bozeman.
Ramsey on Andrews tonight?
I won't pretend to understand Xs and O's, but I wonder if Roman can dial up enough plays to allow Donald to blow right past the real scheme to negate him to some extent.

Wasn't the same fuss made over Chris Jones and how he was going to single handedly wreck the Ravens offense in the Chiefs game? He had 2 tackles and no sacks.
He's not Aaron Donald, but honestly, he's probably the closest guy in the league to him.

I'm also wondering what's been going through Donald's head this past week when thinking about containing Jackson. It's very possible that he may not be quite as aggressive as he might normally be, fearing just what you mentioned- that he'll just run past Lamar and then he's off to the races. This will definitely be a thinking man's game tonight.

Skura isn’t very big and Bozeman isn’t that good.
The line has been so good though, so it will be interesting to see if they can handle him and that defensive front.
I’m more worried about their offense than their defense although their defense is the best in the league at limiting big plays in the run game.
