This information started leaking out of a Saturday morning booster meeting, but Maryland Stadium will be getting a new jumbo-tron and a new sound system. Unsure of timeline, cost, or any other potential upgrades.

Some wins would be nice, too.
If you build it, they will come.
I guess...

If no one is there to see the nice big video board, does it really exist?

I will say two things in all seriousness.
1) The video and sound in that place are in dire need of an upgrade.
2) The place is in just as dire a need of an actual name. Four years, and they still haven't come up with something to replace Maryland Stadium? C'mon!

Yep and yep.
It's a nice and needed upgrade.

Saw this posted on Testudo Times. It's a letter from Damon Evans regarding fundraising for facilities. It mentions the BPC, and several other projects. There's no mention of anything regarding the stadium, though it does say Gossett will be renovated to house an academic center for all UM student-athletes.

IMS: Evans announces major project, reviews football and basketball
https://247sports.co...92/#141841192_1
Maryland's athletic department is current running at an $85 million debt -- $54 million in operating debt and $31 million in facilities -- and will take on an additional $40 million to make the improvements. The projects and fundraising efforts are unrelated to Maryland's $200-plus million football facility at Cole Field House and the upcoming $35 million basketball practice facility.
Maryland has "consolidated and refinanced 31 million" in facilities debt, Evans said, allowing the school to make a $40 million investment in program while reducing debt payments.
"This new model allows that we will be able to take care of all of our athletic teams," he said. "As you can see, we have big plans for our athletic programs. And I promise you this, we're going to do it in a financially sustainable way.
