This isn't even a 'clutch' vs. 'clutch doesn't exist' argument.The entire clutch argument is a classic issue for stats vs. other things. Some stat people will claim you're not looking at reality, that anything stats can't see doesn't exist. It's basically the same argument that says there is no spiritual dimension to life because science can't see it. So, all in all, it's basically a religious argument.
This is a "literally anything can happen in 5 PAs and making sweeping statements about a player's qualities just based on that is beyond the realm of rationality" argument.
I'm not saying Teagarden is or isn't a clutch player (though I have an opinion on that which I'll keep to myself). I'm just saying that it's completely impractical to even suggest that you have any insight into him based on just what you've seen him do this season.
