How are the Saints losing at home to Atlanta? That’s insane

I have two rules in survivor pools. No road teams, no division games. If I can help it no Thursday games. My only reasonable options left at this point were NO or Colts with their third QB against Miami. I broke my own rule, trusted Brees, and it cost me.

But this is a great example of what I was worried about with the Ravens. Looking ahead against a crappy team.

That’s an awful loss by the Saints.

With the difference of Matt Ryan vs a rook in his first start.

Wouldn't have mattered.  Colts lost too.  We had 4 people left in our survivor pool. (I wasn't one....went out on the Rams losing to TB earlier)  Three of them took NO, the other took Indy.  I usually follow those same rules with the exception of Thursday games.  The home team has such a huge advantage sometimes you can find good value there.  Example, a couple of years ago when the Ravens crushed Miami on Thursday.

Buffalo, too.

That means nothing. They weren’t beating out NE.

But NO was at home. That’s an absolutely awful loss by NO.

That just can’t happen

And they're not going anywhere either.  A good defense but with very limited offensive talent.

Stuff happens in the NFL just about every week that makes you take a second look. But to get beat that convincingly vs. a really bad team at home is definitely shocking. It wasn't a close game on some fluke play or something.

Atlanta's record may be bad, but that team isn't all that bad.  They have some talent, especially on offense.  Ryan, Julio Jones, Ridley.  They may be poorly coached but on paper they shouldn't be as bad as they are.  There were some pre-season reports that liked them to win that division and at least one or two that had them coming out of the NFC.  Plus that rivalry is like the Pittsburgh/Baltimore one.  Those two teams hate each other.  Atlanta is bad record wise, but they aren't bad like Miami or Cincinnati where they just can't physically match up to other teams.   How their coach still has his job after the last two years and the super bowl choke is beyond me.

Another offensive player of the week award coming for Lamar. Don't see how he doesn't get it.

   He got Nick Vigils vote.

Lamar Jackson is terrific.  End of story.

Yahoos $25K contest started with over 300k people. Was down to just over 25k people this week. Saints and Colts combined to erase 87% of that. 92% out now counting the Chiefs and Rams too.
