At Circa Sportsbook in Las Vegas, Penn State is a 6.5-point favorite and the total is lined at 58.5 points.

It's not really news anymore at this point, but it'll be nice to see Ralph back home for the first time on the field (as a Terp) in almost 9 years. That last time back in 2010 the Terps beat a ranked opponent (NC State)....something they would not do on their home field again until the Syracuse game a couple weeks ago. Here's hoping that streak keeps going.

Get Matt Saracen on standby in case Jackson has another day like last week!

Maryland announces that the game is sold out. First home sell-out since the Michigan game in 2015.

Not sure there's a game I've wanted my team to win this badly since I guess Game 3 of the 2014 ALCS (since by game 4 you assumed the series was pretty much over).  Penn State is by far my current least favorite sports team and while I wouldn't call myself a rabid MD football fan I do want to see the program succeed.  I have no idea what to expect, just hoping they can make a competitive game out of it.

The list of alumni attending this game keeps growing. Torrey Smith and A.J. Francis have announced they'll be on the sideline with Friedgen. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Scott Van Pelt. Not sure if Shawne Merriman will be in attendance, he usually does his annual coat drive later in the season. Boomer Esiason was at the Penn State game when it was held in Baltimore a few years back.

Also, Ellis McKennie is expected to take over as the team's starting RG for the injured Terrance Davis. Jaelyn Duncan will start at LT.

They need to wear their practice unis for games.

I get the sense that there is good amount of anticipation and enthusiasm for this game around the university. That's always nice to see, especially that the debacle at Temple didn't dampen it too much.

Maryland wins tonight.

That's bold. I'm going with PSU, but I expect a more competitive game than the other recent matchups with them.

If the MD team that showed up against Temple faces PSU, they will be blown out of the building.   I think it will be a closer game, but Penn State will win comfortably.

I will guess that the attendance will be about 50/50 PSU vs. MD.   It will feel almost like a home game for PSU.

And...I hope I am wrong.   As a Maryland transplant in PA, it's really sucked seeing MD get clobbered.

I am right there with you. My experience with Terps football is that I get all excited, they're looking good, then they hit a prime time game on national TV, and lay an egg. But like Charlie Brown, when Lucy is holding the football, I just have to give it my best again. This could be the team that is different.
