MD ranked #25 in the coaches poll.
They're ranked #21 in the AP Poll, highest ranking since 2006.

The Terps were ranked #21 at 8-2 in both the AP and Coaches Polls in Week 12 of that 2006 season. They lost their last two games to Boston College and Wake Forest.
I was trying to remember the last time the Terps beat a ranked team on their home field. Had to look it up. It was the regular season finale in 2010, beating #23 NC State. That was also Ralph's last game at Byrd.
As great as it feels, I think it's a bit surreal the impact this Syracuse game has had on the college football world's perception of MD, since they are now ranked in both polls after not receiving a single vote in either the previous week.

Was it 2012, 2013, when they started 3-0, got ranked 25, then got beat 63-0 by Florida St? I think that’s the last ranking I recall.
It was 2013. I think they were actually 4-0 going to FSU.
2012 was the season QBs were dropping like flies, at a rate unusual even for MD.
The year after, 2014, was the only time in the last 12 seasons the Terps have had one QB start every game. Despite suffering multiple injuries, both that season and throughout his career, CJ Brown somehow managed to pull it off. Before that, it was Sam Hollenbach in 2006 that was the last to do it.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Injury Report for this week:
- OT Marcus Minor (Questionable)
- DL Oluwaseun Oluwatimi (Probable)
- LB Shaq Smith (Probable)
Smith has been practicing this week, good bet he plays. Tyrrell Pigrome was absent from practice yesterday and limited today due to back spasms. Tyler DeSue and/or Lance LeGendre would hold the backup QB role if he's unable to go on Saturday.
