We're back folks!!!  After a long, hot, arduous July, the Pickz have returned for another season of gambling and fun!  For those new to this, each week I give out my six college football locks, AGAINST THE SPREAD, and allow you all to make money!

Sadly, Randall will NOT be joining us this year.  He says he is busy, I think he's just sick of getting his ass kicked by yours truly!  Hopefully, someone else will join in the fun, but I have no problem doing this alone (I do a lot of things alone )

 

Anyway, there are two games before the actual week 1 (the first week's slate of games starts on Thursday, August 29).  On Saturday, August 24 Miami plays Florida in Orlando and Arizona flies to Hawaii to take on the Warriors.  I may or may not have official PICKZ there, but I'll put out predictions either way.

We have arrived. The long hot summer is over. College football is HERE baby! We got a small taste in week zero (I went 1-1, including losing $50 to McNulty, but neither were official pickz so I am still 0-0 for the year). Hawaii somehow managed to beat Arizona outright despite being a double digit underdog and turning the ball over 482 times. Gotta think Kevin Sumlin isn't gonna be around too much longer.

But enough about week zero! We have a full slate of games this Labor Day Weekend. The action starts Thursday and runs all the way thru Labor Day (that's right, five straight days of college football). Then, just a mere two days after that, the NFL returns. Glorious times indeed.

As always, these are my six best pickz of the week. Play me or fade me but, bear in mind, I have a winning record every year since I've started doing this. In fact, I've kicked Randall's ass so bad in this that he no longer wishes to participate. One final note. Week 1 (and 2) are sometimes tougher to predict. We don't know a lot about these teams yet and some of the lines are insane because a lot of the top cats are playing cupcakes.

After an up and down week 1, the pickz are back for week 2 and my heart is heavy.  

 

Many of you know I attended the University of Maryland.  After their 79-0 drubbing of Howard last weekend I was on cloud 9.  Syracuse comes to town this week and I debated long and hard as to whether or not I would make this game a pick (I generally try to avoid it due to bias and I would never bet against my team).  When it comes down to it, I have to go with my head and not my heart and Syracuse is my lock of the week.

We went 5-1 last week, losing only the Maryland pick (as an aside, I like Temple +8 a lot this weekend shhhhh).  Don't worry!  Maryland will not be a pick this week!  We try to keep the good times rolling with six LOCKS.  Play me, fade me, do whatever, just play!
