I like the energy that is clearly be expended trying to build the football program at Maryland. It really does seem tireless, which is what is needed if Maryland is going to be a Top 25 type program. Keep it going men!

For those who were wondering, here are the top available quarterbacks in the transfer portal who are eligible to play next season:
- Woody Barrett (Kent State)
- Chris Katrenick (Duke)
- Austin Kendall (West Virginia)
- Tyler Lytle (Colorado)
- Jace Ruder (North Carolina)
None of these players are originally from the DMV area, and as far as I know none have any ties to Locksley or any member of the coaching staff though I could be wrong. Given that any quarterback who comes in would be the de-facto backup to Taulia Tagovailoa, I'm not sure how likely it is that the Terps are able to land anyone significant via the portal this season.
Maybe keep an eye on N'Kosi Perry from Miami. I don't know what their relationship was like, but Perry started 3 games in 2019 for the Hurricanes when Enos was there. He's not listed as being immediately eligible in 2021, but we all know how that goes.

Remaining targets still out there for Maryland:
- 4-star WR Charles Montgomery (Valrico, FL)
- 4-star WR Titus Mokiao-Atimalala (Ewa Beach, HI)
- 3-star C Michael Myslinski (Jacksonville, FL)
- 3-star LB Trace Campbell (Hyattsville, MD)
Montgomery recently decommitted from Florida, and Joker Phillips has been attempting to land him. Mokiao-Atimalala is Taulia Tagovailoa's cousin, and Campbell is Chance Campbell's brother. The team is going after Myslinski hard after he decommitted from Texas recently. John Reagan was part of his recruitment, but George Helow appears to be leading it.
Campbell committed to Air Force tonight.

Jake Funks younger brother, Jordan, entered the transfer portal last night from West Point. Does Maryland take a flyer and offer him?
Are there any additional hurdles for guys transferring out of service academies? Does their commitment to serve after they graduate still hold?

Certainly possible, but they already have a ton of defensive linemen and tight ends coming in next year's class and may prefer to save that scholarship to use elsewhere. If he wants playing time, he'd be better served transferring to a Group of 5 or FCS team. Of course, I'm sure Locksley would be happy to have him as a walk-on.

If you leave before your Junior year no commitment.

Quick update on the remaining targets for Maryland:
- 4-star WR Charles Montgomery (Valrico, FL)
- 4-star WR Titus Mokiao-Atimalala (Ewa Beach, HI)
- 4-star OG Josh Simmons (La Mesa, CA)
- 3-star C Michael Myslinski (Jacksonville, FL)
They're also expected to go after OT Jahmir Johnson via the transfer portal, who decommitted from Tennessee earlier this week. New offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Dan Enos recruited him out of junior college while he was with Arkansas.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, Myslinski has been leaning towards Iowa and the departures of George Helow and John Reagan from Maryland's coaching staff likely put them on the outside looking in for him.

Update: Perry removed his name from the portal and will return to Miami for the spring semester, but he will not be with the football program anymore. It sounds like his plan is to graduate after the spring and then transfer to ensure that he will have immediate eligibility. No idea if he had any contact with the Terps while in the portal, but I wouldn't be surprised if he used that opportunity to at least set up his options with new schools, if not an actual decision, on where his next stop will be.

Maryland football added a key piece to its quarterback depth with Virginia Military Institute transfer quarterback Reece Udinski announcing his commitment Sunday.
Udinski, who was named Southern Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, will play for the Keydets during their spring 2021 season and officially join the Terps after graduation in May. He is a senior who will have one year of eligibility at Maryland.During the 2019 season, Udinski completed 63.9% of his passes for 3,276 yards, 19 touchdowns and five interceptions. Udinski showed much improvement from his 2018 campaign, which saw him throw for 3,037 yards, 20 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

That's potentially a lot of actual football games over a period of about 9 months. Hope the kid knows what he's doing and holds up alright.

LB Moezies Telfort announced he'll be transferring to Maryland from Florida A&M. He saw action in one game during his true freshman season in 2019, and the Rattlers' 2020 season was postponed due to COVID-19.

To no surprise, it was a very quiet National Signing Day for the Terps. Over on TT, those who keep score of all the comings and goings say the Terps likely only have one scholarship available, and that they are most likely using it to target an OL transfer.

That's tremendous improvement in the TD/INT Ratio. Seems like an OK flyer for depth to me.

Trace seemed to be excited about getting the intial offer from Maryland, so maybe his coming to CP is still a possibility.
