Wouldn't even be a next year pick. 2024. I think it's silly, to be kind, to have held him back to maintain his 2023 rookie status. Obviously he could've helped earlier. I'd happily trade that pick for a chance at an extra win this year, especially a few weeks ago when things were going better.

It's a matter of priorities. Sometimes it's ok to play for now rather than sacrifice whatever you have to sacrifice for potential future value.

What do we think of Henderson's defens?. I havent watched much. Off the top of my head I cant remember me seeing him fielding a ball at 3b

Looked good last name, snagged a hard hit ball and had a cannon throw to third.

Granted SSS.

Phenomenal upside at multiple positions but may need to focus on one to see that full upside.

Above average at SS, probably near excellent at 3rd.  Impressed by the arm.

He is so young, and still learning the game, so its easy to see him improve his skillset.

Since we are mostly dead anyway, give him 67 more at bats then pull the plug. By then we will be mathematically eliminated. Or if not then good grief go for it and who cares about some extra draft pick possibility for next year.

It's now 52 at bats with 13 games left... it will be kind of close, but he'll probably need to sit out one of the remaining games to preserve his rookie status for 2023.

His arm is great and he's made some very good plays. The one game at 2B was rough but other than that he's been great in the field IMO.

Thats good. Ive seen him play the one game at 2b and a few of plays at SS too. Its 3b where I havent really seen him and its the position I expect him to play

Probably correct. But I also think there is tremendous value in having a guy who is comfortable at SS and 3rd. I would rather have him say be a 9 at both positions than a 10 at one and have the other only be a fallback. But perhaps even if he was predominantly say at 3rd base his rare use at SS may still be upper echelon?

Lot of early walks, which has been great to see... the opposite field shot last night was super impressive.

What the eff are you talking about? Did you not see the play he made at SS? Diving deep into the hole and then a bullet to first. Don't always have to get the out for a play to stand out.

Youll see. Granted Urias won the GG but the difference between them is and will will be quite noticable over time.

Oh and you should know better than to reference one flashy play. Everyone has flashy in them at times. I want consistency

He can be worse than Urias and still excellent. He's also SS capable which Urias isn't save for rare occasions.
