Unless Sam shows he is a reg C this year, which would take noticeable improvement defensively, Adley will play out his contract here. Hes a solid C, even if a disappointment overall.
What is it that Adley does so well defensively? Sure isn't his throwing which he showed off again today. I agree at this point you just have to let him play this season and hope like heck he turns it around.

I think Adley has over worked out. He looks like a linebacker. I think he has gone too far with the weights. I think we see a resurgence this year though.

Looks too heavy for whatever reason.

I just heard a phone interview with Greg Amsinger, who said he thinks Rutschman will be traded between mid-May and the trade deadline.
Good news! I saw a dog today.

You never know, but I dont think they are actively shopping Adley or have a preference for moving him. I think all these media types think its inevitable because of the presence of Sam. I think the Os like the idea of those two catching every day
Yeah but Adleys bat the last year and a half only plays at C.

Lucky that's the position he plays. And I guess it would play at SS, too.
Anyway, he was definitely dealing with an injury in the second half of 2024. Not sure about last year, but hopefully he's healthy for 2026 and can get back to being Adley.

He saw free agency looming, and wanted to crank up the earning potential by cranking more long balls. It failed. But at least he was smart enough to recognize where his bread and butter are. I hope they get a good return, when they trade him.
