From Scott Wykoff of WBAL radio.

As I’ve been reporting this morning on WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5 with Bryan Nehman, the National Weather Service confirms an E-F 1 tornado touched down in Columbia, Maryland. Here is some of the damage from Wayover Way off of Route 29 & 32. So far there have been no reports of any serious injuries.

They issued a shelter in place warning at my office but we avoided anything quite that dramatic.  Tons of small limbs down on the roads nearby afterwards, but no major trees going down.  Certainly none that appeared to be broken from the middle up like a tornado often causes.

We're very close to the intersection of 32 & 29 so maybe 1-2 miles from the location mentioned above.
