So, I just left the theater and I was sort of right and sort of wrong about what they were going to do.

First off, I felt like they would kill off one "main" Avenger and one secondary one.  My guesses were Hawkeye and Captain America -- obviously was wrong there.

When all the characters that Hulk brought back entered through that portal in the final battle scene I got legit chills.  Just a terrific movie.  People were in tears at the end.

One question.  I only saw them recover 5 of the stones.

1) In New York when Loki got the tesseract and they had to go further back in time to recover it.

2)  In New York when the Ancient One gave the stone to Hulk

3) The stone that Thor and Rocket recovered on Asgard

4) The stone recovered when Black Widow sacrificed herself

5) The stone recovered by War Machine and Nebula that caused Nebula's arm to melt.

What is the sixth one?  Did I miss something?

Also, it was cool how Falcon has now become the new Captain America.

They should have shown Captain returning all the stones and just made a five hour film lol.

Overall, prolly my favorite in the series, with the original Guardians a close second.

Finally, what the hell happened to Gamora?  I know the "present" version of her is dead when Thanos sacrificed her, but she should presumably still be alive.  Unless she vanished when Iron Man disposed of all of Thanos' army?

I think that's the plot of Guardians 3, Peter hunting for the 2014 version of Gamora, and then it'll be interesting to see if she is the big bad guy for the whole movie. Looking like Thor will be in it too, so I feel like they have to have a much tougher baddie to go after.

The last one would be the mind stone...which is tricky, because it was IN Loki's scepter back in the battle of NY, so if he got away with that AND the Tesseract, that would mean he has two, and they never got the other one. Plot hole maybe?

The random kid at Tony's funeral is the little boy from Iron Man 3, apparently.

Was wondering who that was. Thought it was quicksilver at first which obviously made no sense.

Who was the older gentleman behind him? Looked a bit like Howard Stark, but again, that doesn’t work either.

Edit: never mind. It was Ross the UN guy.

Ah you are correct. I forgot the other thing they grabbed in NJ was some other Pym particles just in case. Lot to process from last night haha.

How would we have known that? Seems odd but no biggie.

I have long thought Cap would be the one to go.

But it was kind of foretold in the movie when Tony kept saying, make sure I come back, I have to much to lose, etc...not to mention, all the talk about Tony being someone who fights only for himself.

I knew it had to be BW to go...Clint has a family, she doesn’t.

I thought Capt Marvel would play an even larger role but I guess if they did that, the movie would have been shorter. Obviously her by herself at the funeral wasn’t by accident. She is a complete beast.

Marvel just had to show all the women in that last fight scene to let us all know that women can be super heroes too.

It was pretty cool that they brought back almost all the characters from the previous movies...not many weren’t in it.

We know Cap is done..obviously IM is done. But what about Thor? Does he end up with the GoG? I know that he wasn’t under contract anymore but still.../they certainly made it seem like he would be in it.

Damn good movie. Don’t think it needed to be 3 hours but it likely needed to be 2:30-2:45 to be done right, so it wasn’t too far off:

I was picturing that last big scene to be what we see on GOT tonight.

Btw, how did Cap grow old?

Presumably he still ages.  Even enhanced, I'd assume living from the 40s/50s to 2023 would show something.

Well it didn’t from the 40s to 2019.

I just think it’s a hole in things...doesn’t really matter.

Read a few theories about it..didn’t really like what was said but whatever...again, no biggie.

Also, the 2 guys that were playing video games with Thor...weren’t they on the ship with Thor that presumably was totally destroyed..as seen in the first scene of the last Avengers movie?

He didn’t grow old from the 40s to 2019 because he was “frozen” in an ice cap for 70 years.

I believe only half of the Asguardian ship (or most of it) was destroyed. Some refugees got away, including Valkyrie, Korg, Mik and the rest of the new settlement of New Asgard.

.

So, then are we going with the theory that there were basically 2 Caps...one who was fighting and was frozen and one who went under cover, got married, etc...?

That’s one of the theories I read.

We didn’t actually see the refugees get away though, right?
