With the extra pitcher on the roster (13), they could possibly tag team- Karns and Straily for the short term.

13 total appearances from Straily and he has allowed more runs than innings pitched in 8 of them.
88 baserunners in 45 innings?? AWFUL!

In his defense, his FIP is like half a run lower than his ERA. If he gets a little more support from his defense and performs just a touch better himself, he should be able to get his ERA below 9.

After last night..... another terrible performance....... Straily has now allowed 7 homers in 2 relief appearances covering just 3 and 2/3 innings pitched. Horrendously poor MLB pitcher.

If he pitched 50 consecutive scoreless innings he would get his ERA down to... 4.79.
