This may be old news, but I just heard about the Golden At-Bat rule:

 

"At its core, the Golden At-Bat idea is to allow a team one opportunity to call upon a hitter who is in the lineup but not due for the upcoming at-bat. It’d be somewhat akin to pinch-hitting with a player who is already in the game. As Stark notes, the rule could be narrowed to limit when teams could use the Golden At-Bat (e.g. after a certain inning, only when they’re trailing, etc.)"

 

Rob Manfred has to go.  This is the dumbest thing ever.  Manfred is a joke and needs to go.

I'm fine with all the new stuff.... pitch clock, minimum batter rule, even pick off attempts and reluctantly the ghost runner. But a golden AB? No.

This idea has to be a PsyOp.  An idea so bad that is only proposed to draw universal scorn and serve as distraction from another, still bad but less egregious, idea that will be able to skirt by with less attention and be approved.

Ill admit that I was against most of the more recent changes and now am fine with most of them. I wish some things were tweeked but overall Im fine with them. The pitch clock in particular I was wrong about. The quicker pace has really made watching better. This one above I know for a fact Im not coming around on. An absolute joke.
