I never thought pitch clock would make any noticeable difference. The mound visits, breaks between innings and constant pitching changes are more to blame. So, this is good news.

Hate minimum batters faced rule.

Love expanding to 28 instead of 40 in Sept.

Like expanding to 26 from 25 if only for a position player, not another pitcher.

Mound visit rule is meaningless because they don’t enforce it.

Agree with every word of this..

However, i dislike the minimum batters rule far more than i like the other ones, so...

I don’t get how it speeds games up. If you have to face three guys, and you are brought in after the starter maybe 1 out into the 6th. Now your looking at a mid inning pitching change once the reliever has faced three guys. Instead of beginning of the inning which you might do now. which doesn’t extend games at all.

Gonna cancel each other out

It’s three batter minimum or until the end of the inning so you can always start fresh with a new inning.

I like the rule. I think it’ll actually create new strategies instead of just going through the motions a la the NL with not having the DH.

I’m just glad MLB is trying stuff. If it doesn’t work out, change it back or try something else.

I don't like the three batter minimum.

I don't think MLB should dictate how long a player needs to be in a game.

It’s a stupid rule. It won’t do anything to shorten the game for much more than a 1 min or so.

I think I heard MLB isn’t going to test for weed anymore?

They're treating weed like alcohol.  But they will be testing for opioids, but with treatment, rather than punishment.

How long til a pitcher is “injured” and can’t face the 3 batter minimum?

Like the minimum mound visits rule. Yankees were out of them. Struggling Chapman loads the bases. Bring out the “trainer” and the coaches. Proceeds to stay in the game and throw 102 on the black.

That's why I'd rather see one free change per inning unless the pitcher is injured or gives up a run. And if the pitcher is injured they must be placed on the DL following the game.

That's really great news. It could legitimately save lives. Unfortunately, opioid addiction is near and dear to my heart. It's great to see MLB do the right thing here.

Make bullpen cart mandatory. Two warm up pitches. No commercial break.

Problem solved

The 3 batter rule is idiotic.

Manfred is an awful commissioner.
