MD Defense looks good but not sure if that offense has the horsepower.

Totally agree. I didn’t mean it that way. Most of FBS kids deserve it and have earned it even with god given measurables. But I’ve seen a number of kids get in to FBS programs that are head scratchers. Soft as puddin but got some measurables or track stars. College recruiters need to do better of recruiting football players at certain schools. Probably why they have a losing tradition. Too focused on intangibles and not ifvthey can play football.

 

There are some coaches that believe they can coach up/develop players with measurables into a productive player.  But I bet at times that's because the player(s) they actually wanted has committed elsewhere.
