They had a big promo for the XFL at Raw last night.
Now if they can just manage not to screw it up.

Be interesting to see if some of the people (e.g., Polian) in charge jump ship to the XFL now.

Vince sold 270M in WWE stock today to help fund the XFL.

I don't see how they could support the rules and it doesn't seem like the XFL would be doing much development in terms of a real playbook and schemes that translate into the big leagues.

That won't even last a full season if it's on the scale that this league just was. I think I read they had actually received like $150m in funding and didn't make it to half way in the season. People backed out on money they had committed which didn't help.
I'm interested to see how it goes, I know they've hired former NFL coaches so I'm assuming they are serious about actually playing football and not the entertainment of it all.

I think the problem is timing. Don’t start these things the week after the Super Bowl. Even the hardcore fans need to decompress, and have other interests. March Madness, MLB starting up...
A 10 week season with 2 playoff weeks that starts in May and ends in July, a lead up to NFL training camp, would cross the bridge over the dog days of summer.
Also, has to be decent football of course.

The XFL might be able to finish its season but it will eventually fail too.

More AAF fallout. I'm told by a source close to the situation that the AAF and XFL had multiple conversations about a merger. Those conversations included a meeting in December of last year, but that was not the first meeting. Those conversations were ongoing as well.
