Many congrats to @AmberTheoharis who is joining the NFL Network. You're going to be missed around here! Don't big-time me.
Best of luck to her.

Another local reporter going national...Something in the water in BMore?

I can't see her doing too much traveling, she scaled back on MASN after all. I think the NFL Network crew for the Thur games has already been named? I could see her doing Sunday reports though.Haven't heard more, but will be interested to see what her role is there. Sideline reporter for games would be my assumption. I'll see more of her out here now than I did while she was at MASN. No complaints!

Baltimore is an ideal place for a relatively-young person in the media to make their bones. Small enough to become a big fish, but big enough for that to mean something. Close to a major media hub in Washington, but outside enough to avoid getting lost in the noise. For sports, two major professional sports in town, and three more a short drive away, along with a major university, most of which have longstanding histories with the city.I was thinking the same thing. It's pretty remarkable how many local sports media-types have gone straight to national gigs over the years. Baltimore certainly must have a reputation of being a good place to launch your career. And it's a plus for us, since we get to appreciate their talents before they hit it big.

None. Two major professional sports in Baltimore (baseball and football), and three more in Washington (basketball, hockey and soccer). I wasn't forgetting the Nationals and Redskins, just including them with the Orioles and Ravens.Which DC team did you forget?

Oh I see what you did well you forgot the WNBA then! I never really think of MLS as a "major" sport.None. Two major professional sports in Baltimore (baseball and football), and three more in Washington (basketball, hockey and soccer). I wasn't forgetting the Nationals and Redskins, just including them with the Orioles and Ravens.
