The Orioles are pissing Keith off by proving him wrong. Sounds like a man who will never admit he might be wrong.

Meh, he does it all the time, but the hard part about being a reporter/scout is that you have to put your opinions out there about guys based on some kind of sound opinion/projection, you have to stay with it, through up and down seasons, whatever you thought was there at first you have to let play out a couple years. The guys that waffle back and forth on guys and change their entire opinion about a guy because he gets off to a hot half season in AA or whatever are the ones you should be more skeptical of. (one of many things Nick and Jon taught me along the way)

He's just sticking to his guns that what he saw and projected for them, based on the flaws in the team are still there and at some point will catch up to them. MANY people have and will continue to say this, even some of us. HOWEVER, the snarky way he delivered that was just part of his online persona that he's kind of developed (Goldstein has/had one too, coincidence that probably the 2 biggest names both have a schtick?) I know plenty of people that talk to him regularly and have talked to him a bit myself and he's not the d-bag people think he is.

Olive Garden fans, employees, and owners should be more upset with Law than we are.

He's ruthless toward the OG on twitter.

I crack up when he does it too. I always want to send Robert Irvine into an Olive Garden and have him just DESTROY their crappy food. Full disclosure, the salad and breadsticks are kinda awesome.

I actually like Posnanski a lot. Just not the way he's handled the Sandusky situation.

I don't think his complaints revolve around the breadsticks or salad, which are solid and a good value to be sure.

Going back and forth with Law on twitter

He doesn't like that I would question his integrity by saying the whole Lacava/ scouting situation has turned him against the team.

Just checked some of that out.

You make some good points, but I did think this line was funny coming from you:

u sound like some1 who just doesn't want to admit they were wrong

Keith Law should just write about the BCS if he wants to join the growing chorus of asinine arguments that can never be right or wrong. This Orioles season has burned me out on all things ESPN. Yes, it's hard to talk about the Orioles without asking "how???" when you look at their history, stats and the lineup Buck has been cycling through all year. However, the total discontent for this team has been absurd. Nobody wants to believe that this team is actually better than the Red Sox and could quite possibly be better than an aging Yankees team that is looking at forced rebuilding. The last time I checked computers and spreadsheets do not actually play the game and 10 run losses still count as 1 loss, and 1 run wins still count as 1 win.

For the most part, I fully support sabermetrics. With that said, run differential is complete and utter bull droppings. Like I said, I usually follow the "bible" of sabermetrics, but I realized that sabermetrics could never explain certain things. The 2012 Orioles is one of those things.
