Down to .249 AVG. good luck getting anything meaningful for him now.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

.691 OPS, .716 for his career.

.249 average, .256 for  his career.

.790 OPS vs. RHP

.477 OPS vs. LHP

.266 / .333 / .422 in April...
.227 / .253 / .373 in May...

Turned 28 May 2nd.

2020: Arb eligible

2021: Free Agent

FanGraphs:  -4 DRS, -9.2 UZR / 150 at 2nd,  -1 DRS, -0.5 UZR / 150 at SS.

Numbers aren't good, and after 2,500 ML ab's we have a pretty good handle on who he is.

Still, I kind of like him.  He looks like a legitimate ML player.

The horrible production vs. LHP this year seems like a bit of an aberration.  Over the last 3 years, his splits are basically even, and slightly better vs. lefties.

If some contender suffers an injury, he might be movable. Clearly he's not going to be a priority acquisition for anyone.
In the immediate next year or two, the O's have some real Middle INF questions.  Because of that - and because I don't believe he'd bring back much anything in trade - I'd be fine with them extending him a year through 2021.

Villar is a pretty good player.  A little crazy on the base paths but the good far outweighs the bad with Villar.

Only the fifth Oriole to hit for the cycle.  That is impressive
