Same. No longer excited after seeing the reactions. Maybe lowered expectations will be a good thing.

It sure does take some of the excitement out of seeing it, but I am still looking forward to it.

Why do people care so much about what the critics say? I have seen people say they loved it and some say they didn’t like it. Everyone sees movies differently.

It's not as bad as VIII, but it still sucked.  They're just kinda doing whatever they want regardless of whether or not it makes sense with the established world.

Empire Strikes Back, and Ep. 8 are my favorites because they aren't formulaic.... but I enjoyed 9, even if it does a lot of fan service.

I think in-terms of trying to wrap up 9 movies over 42 years, it does the job effectively.

It doesn’t hurt my feelings one way or the other and I’ll form my own opinion but just like to get the temperature of the room. These event movies are typically easy to please even with critics.

Seeing it Monday afternoon.

I didn't hate it as much as I did Episode 8, but I still didn't like it. Too many liberties taken with the Force totally out of line with Lucas' six movies.

It was busy, messy, irrelevant and heartless. But I still really enjoyed it.

It was alright. Once we get in to spoilers I’ll add additional thoughts.

One part was comically bad and easily the worst part of the movie for me.

I think we’re safe with spoilers. At least we should be.

Pretty much agree but it’s not good in the way that The Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones are not good but I still enjoy them.

Terrible movie, visually stunning though. JJ Abrams doesn't have an original thought left in his brain.

Watched the entire series and finished up with this last night. Watching all these movies within a month's time helps sand down some of the roughest parts of ROS (and a second viewing free of expectations helps too) but the problems are all still there.

Still. Fun series with some all-time historic highs and some pretty bad lows but nothing so bad it kills the series the way, say, the Terminator series has been killed.

Tried to find my ranking of all the films, but here's the revised list:

1. Rogue One

2. Empire Strikes Back

3. A New Hope

4. Return of the Jedi

5. The Last Jedi

6. The Force Awakens

7. Revenge of the Sith

8. Rise of Skywalker

9. The Phantom Menace

10. Attack of the Clones

11. Solo

IMO Kathleen Kennedy is evil in carnage. Her hands on the franchise since Disney bought Lucasfilms has ruined it and I do not want to see what she does to the new Indy.

The good thing is Disney is like all in on multiverses and alternate universes, so they can still fix her mess.

The rumors that the first Disney+ Star Wars movie is gonna be Heir to the Empire has me very excited.
