I have no knowledge of Baron's situation. Is he a RS Senior? If so, after Rhode Island, he could transfer to any college to get a graduate degree as long as that college offers a degree that Rhode Island does not. That's usually the loophole players use.

Again though, not sure Baron's situation.

No he is a junior which is why I am confused. I know about the redshirt senior situation but he is a junior. I feel like it is because his dad coaches here no so he got his special waiver. Oh well.

I don't think it matters what year you are in athletics-wise. It's where you stand academically....in other words, have you earned enough credits to graduate. Remember, Danny O'Brien graduated at the end of his RS-Soph year (3rd year at UM). If Baron used a RS, then that means he would have had 3 years at Rhode Island and might have earned his degree, and could then transfer without sitting to enroll in a graduate program (provided that program is not offered at the school he's leaving).

IMO, not fair. I listened to Pat Kennedy yesterday and he said, Maryland got screwed.

The kid ought to sue the NCAA. That is what gets their attention.

Per a handful of reputable sources on Twitter, Dez Wells cleared to play!

Baltimore Sun: Kevin Anderson deserves some credit for getting Dez Wells eligible

Completely agree with Don Markus here! I've been a KA critic, but he deserves a lot of credit for getting this done and it says a lot about him, how he doesn't want to take it IMO.
