Heading up their this weekend to see Alan Trammell and Jack Morris get their long overdue plaques.

Any helpful tips as to shops, restaurants, etc would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I haven’t been since I was a kid. But I remember the town is about 3 blocks long. You can probably hit every restaurant and shop in the weekend.

I do remember that Louisville Slugger had a shop where they would burn your signature onto a bat. Sign a piece of paper. They scan it into their machine. 5 minutes later you have a major league bat with your name on it. That was a cool souvenir when I was 13.

If you like beer, check out the nearby Ommegang Brewery and Restaurant. It's a cool farm like setting with cornhole and some nice grounds to walk around.

I’ve only been as a kid too. I remember eating good waffles for breakfast at some restaurant.

Btw, Morris never should have gotten a plaque.

But enjoy your trip!

Yeah, if Lonnie Smith could run the bases, Morris would have lost game 7, and probably wouldn't be going to the Hall.  Basically, a good part of his HOF argument rests on Lonnie Smith having a low baseball IQ.

The Louisville Slugger bit gave me a smile.  I might have done that years ago.  Thanks for that and the other tips.

As to the other comments, there has to be other threads where inductions and non inductions are discussed.  That wasn't the point of this thread, and I have zero interest of doing so here.

Anyone stay in Utica or Albany and use the HOF package?  Sure is going to make for three very long days.
