I know anyone has better stats if you take out their worst innings but Kremer's allowed 1 ER in 8.1 IP following that 3-run HR in the first inning against Cleveland so that's a pleasant start

His offspeed stuff leaves some to be desired. Needs more consistency with the curve.

Kremer has good stuff. I think his curve could be a difference maker for him. He just needs to trust it.

Now 1 ER in last 20 innings. Not striking people out but he's getting hit hard less and not walking anybody. Similar to Wells, I wonder if it's intentional.
I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but if the team can end 2022 with two of Kremer, Wells, Bradish (still hopeful) or anyone else looking like MLB starters that would really help the hope for the future. Would be great to start getting success from some of these lesser prospects.

He’s also been the beneficiary of some luck, great defense this year. SLG% against his fastball is .152, but expected SLG is .435. Still better than last years xSLG of .523.
Exit velocity off his fastball is also the same as last year. Regression may come, but there is room for it as good as he’s been.

I think he is learning to pitch in the big leagues. Pitching is hard, he failed last year but seems to be figuring it out. The Orioles desperately need Kremer..

I'd imagine pitching to Adley vs pitching to Sevy might help too

Called strikes + whiffs, the article Chris linked to explains it perfectly.
These results from Akin and Kremer are part of why I’m not worried about Bradish who has much better stuff than them.

Yep, there is that too. Chirinos is also a good defensive catcher. I think it is a big advantage to the staff.

ERA down to 1.29. Probably won't stay there for the whole year obviously but it's nice to see him start the year positively after how poorly last year went.

If he gives up 40 runs in his next 26 innings, he'll still be ahead of last year's numbers.

I did not think Kremer pitched that well last night, but he hung tough and the defense behind him was spectacular for the second start in a row. He seems tougher mentally, which is no small thing.
