I'd rather have Brad Wilkerson. 2018 Brad Wilkerson.

Imagine he's only here until Beckham is up.
I have a hunch Peterson will be the one to go, when Beckham comes back, or at least he should be.

One of Buck's nuggets as I recall.

Tough break, hes not good, but I hate to see any guy with marginal talent miss out on what was a good opportunity to accrue some ML service time.

Yeah, I had a similar thought. This was an opportunity to put himself in the UTI mix over the next year. He looked good defensively at 3rd, and runs pretty well. But he's not young, and he's done nothing of note in the minors.

Like Norfolk? Seems like a good place for him to play.
His glove is impressive and versatile; but yeah... looking at how the roster is shaping up, going to be hard for him to grab a UTI spot.

(#24) Steve Wilkerson, 2B/3B
Ceiling: 40 Risk: Moderate ETA: 2018 Role Description: Bench Player
Ht/Wt: 6’1” / 195 lbs. B/T: S/R Highest Level: MLB Age (as of April 1, 2019): 27y, 2m

Wilkerson got a brief cup of coffee at the end of last season with the O’s. He’s 27, so while not quite prospect aged, he’s also ready to contribute right away. Wilkerson is a plus athlete who plays a good 2B, able to shift across the infield to 3B when needed. A switch hitter, his swing is geared towards line drives and handles fastballs better than soft stuff. He profiles as a bench player and could crack the big league roster in that capacity next year.

He's basically right handed Ryan Flarethy, but home grown. Considering how awful Martin has looked, wouldn't shock me if they moved Villar to SS and put Wilkerson at 2B

5 homers (and 5 doubles) in 87 ab's.
2 bb's and 28 k's though.

Like I said, Jones-esque production.

Does it bother anyone else that a grown-ass man goes by the name 'Stevie'?
