This is where he needs to be. He has 2 or 3 inning stuff then gets bombed.

Didn't make the club. Interested to see what he does at AAA.

AAA: 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 9 IP, 8 K, 3 BB, 0.89 WHIP
Probably the first candidate to come up for a start if/when needed.

Recalled to the majors. At least until Shawn Armstrong reports to the team.
Ramirez is probably going to stay. Wild man Tanner Scott was optioned

Ramirez is a guy that confuses me. He looks like he has the stuff to be good, but he doesn't seem to be able to maintain command, or even really control. On top of that, he doesn't really seem to have the stuff to make an impact without command.
Is that what you guys are seeing?
Side note, he might benefit from a cutter, or something else that puts some movement on his fastball.

DFA.
He'll probably get claimed. Solid MiL numbers, just a disaster in the majors so far.

I hope the O's get luckly and he isn't claimed. Seems like there were other moves to make.
I don't like Ramirez as a starter, but do like the arm.

Dime a dozen
Depends what you mean by that.
Replaceable? Sure. Not a guy you want starting for you in the Majors? Absolutely.
But he's better than guys on the 40 man. Got a quality power arm. Was getting better tilt this year. Swings and misses were up.
Still just 25.
Two years ago won 15 games at AA.
Should be an ideal swing / spot starter, opener, or long relief.

I would be surprised if he was claimed.

Sure...he could give you something but every team has several arms like that.
I would be surprised if he was claimed.
Well, that's the bet / evaluation they made obviously. That he wouldn't be, and if he was they were good with it.

Traded to the Pirates for PTBNL or cash.
