I’m not faulting St Frances either, they lost to the top team in the country. If they were to beat SJR and IMG, they’d finish in the top 10 in the country for a third year in a row. Their lines were out-played, and SFA’s young quarterback was exposed. Not a great game for anyone, outside of Corum. The Panthers were 1 of 7 top 25 teams to lose this weekend, with two others beating unranked teams by 7 points or loss.

My point is that it there is very little substance with the MIAA threads, if any. If it weren’t for this SFA-bashing thread, many of the posters, like 11 Rover, would have nothing to talk about. All they know is that they hate SFA, that’s it. It’s like an outlet for childish men to take out their frustrations.. With homelessness, and everything else. LOL!

I wouldn't fault the kids, I give fault to coaching staff for not preparing and adjusting to the play of the #1 team. But you said they lost to #1 team as if it should have been expected, wasn't SFA the #2 team. IMO score was not as close as it appeared with SFA getting some junk in the end.

In the 2016 matchup between the two, the Ascenders ran out to a 31-0 halftime lead, before settling with a 38-0 win. Kellen Mond (Texas A&M) ran for 2 scores and threw (10-13-163-1) for another. The Ascenders out-gained the Panthers 283-267. The ‘17 anticipated matchup between the two was wiped out by Hurricane Irma.

Yes they were. Corum is a problem, as are those big fellas on both lines. That defense gets to the ball very quickly. A great, all-around win for the Panthers.

Just got off the National board telling them guys to never come to BMore with a soft squad because the results will be the same . SF imo is the second best team in the country behind the team that beat them . Corum a difference maker out there

Have to agree with you Gooch, watched them big soft Linemen from IMG get pushed all over the field. That just shows you how good Matre Dei is tho. Would actually like to see a rematch here to see how SFA does without having to travel, think it would be much closer

Nope, it wouldn’t be. The game should not have even been that close. Bad calls lead to SFA’s first TD and their last TD was at end of game with MD having a lot of starters out on defense. I haven’t seen Duncanville from Texas play, so can’t speak on them. But St. John’s Bosco and SFA would be a very good game, that I would give the edge to SJB. Because you would have to score points to beat them, and I hate SFA’s offense. If you shut Corum down, it’s over and SJB will score points.

Exactly, this is stupid. Seasons over, move on. Truth is, SFA needs a league. It’s no true glory in the route they’re taking. And as constructed, the MIAA will never let them back in.

DM people, thats funny because McGregor was one of the top recruiters at SFA. And SJC does exactly the same thing SFA does in regards to recruiting. IMO that would be the best place for SFA. The MIAA schools are not going to play them as long as they continue to recruit the way they do.
