$100 every three months for a sewer bill is pretty annoying. Water bill went up significantly moving to Harford County as well.

What did it go up to?

If I move, that's where I am heading in all likelihood.

It went from like $15-16 every three months to $100-125. Not breaking the bank but it all adds up. Especially when you add that the mysterious sewer bill I didn’t know was coming. But I think that’s just a town of Bel Air thing.

Rick, I used to hate tipping too until I moved here.  The 15% is always included in the bill, which seems like a solid theory to stop people from welching, BUT the service is god awful because of it.  They have no motivation to even try to pay any attention to what you want.

I refuse to spend money on apps/iTunes.  I'm not sure why I hate it so much.

These are great ones.

Wouldn't have thought of them but they are awful.

I'm not a socialist in general, I think it's dumb... but there are specifics where I think it's right... health care is the obvious big first one, but I also think people should get X-amount of water and Y-amount of internet for free... not unlimited because people would abuse it, but you basically need both of those things, regardless of your economic situation...

The one that grinds my gears the most at a restaurant is paying for extra blue cheese with wings. You get a dozen wings for $10. They bring you a teaspoon of blue cheese. When you ask for more they're like "It's a $1.50, is that ok?" I guess. I'd rather they just make the wings $12 and give you an realistic mans serving of dressing rather than $10 and nickel and dime you for the extras. Keep the celery too. I'm not a rabbit. Keep the celery, give me an extra dollop of dip, call it even.

Student loans. It's a mortgage in itself and my wifes wont be paid off anytime before 2040 at least. She paid ridiculous high tuition to go to BIC, which soon after lost accreditation and become Stratford.

Any kind of stupid fees too. Convenience fee, processing fee, event fee, security fee. I get delivery when you order something. Someone has to drive it to you and that person has to be paid. But a fee to print a ticket out at my house? It costs them nothing, less because its less box office employees they need to employ, less paper/ticket sheets they go through, and yet they charge you for theirs and yours convenience.

Forced Union dues. What a joke. So the board members can take trips to "conferences" in Vegas and "network" to "learn things" to bring back to "help our department". They never go to the conferences in Omaha, or Boise. But Vegas, Miami, they are there man. Looking out for "our best interests".

Don't even get me started on unions. If I didn't have to work so damn much I would seriously get behind starting a rally to turn Maryland into a right to work state. Lots of people are seeing the light and more states are changing over to right to work than ever before.

I hate taking my car to get worked on and then seeing shop fees along with every other bs charge they have on there. I don’t get why they just don’t incorporate it to the bill. They should call it the bleed fee.
<p>I am pretty sure Shack is thinking of PBR.

Just today I dropped off a camera lens at a local shop to be repaired. I was told the cost would be $100 for the parts that needed to be replaced, and $150 for the labor. I agree to it and pay $60 down. I get home and look at the service order and notice the total cost will actually be $255. Above there is an item listing for "Materials/Supplies" at a cost of $5. WTF is that, and why isn't it just under the parts?

Since we have some frequent travelers here, I thought by now I'd have seen some of the crap the airlines charge you for that used to be free.

Any fee that is govt related.

Isn’t this why I pay taxes?

Tax cut after tax cut after tax cut... nobody wants to pay taxes, so they charge fees... and hike in-state tuition.... because taxes are supposedly a bad thing... so, instead of buying houses and new cars and helping the economy, college grads spend a generation paying off student loans that help nobody but the big banks... it's nuts....
