I would like to see MD have at least 2 more OOC games vs BCS schools or always be in one of those early tourneys.Full schedule has been released, I've edited the original post.

The OOC is horrible this year. Kentucky, Northwestern, George Mason is not enough. If you lose to Kentucky, you need to beat the other two, and probably win 10 games in the ACC to advance to the NCAA's.
That might be possible, but you don't leave yourself much room for error. A few more challenges prior to league play would be nice.
As is, MD should be 11-2, or 12-1 when ACC play begins.
Can't wait for the opener, should be fun.

I looked at it earlier. It is a weak OOC schedule. It seems to me the trend for the big boys is going back that way. Get to 21 or 22 wins as quickly as possible.

The good news is that with 2 games vs each of FSU, Duke and UNC, plus NCSt at home, they have a chance to build a tournament-worthy resume in-conference. A couple big wins among those 7 games will look good. The bad news is, that's a tough schedule that leaves little margin for error in other games.
As for the OOC schedule, yeah it's bad. But with so many new players and roles to assume for this season, it's probably to their advantage to not have the pressure of winning tough games early while they sort things out. Even though it means they will have a lot of work to do starting in January.
