Anyone here a shoe guy?

 

I bought my first ever paid of Adidas shoes last year and fell in love with them. They were $30 Bounce shoes at the outlet in Queenstown. Should have bought two pair. Now I have a Boost pair for the gym and a pair of the navy blue Inikis for casual wear.

 

In the past I was a New Balance guy. Never really liked Nike all that much...never thought their shoes were all that comfortable. I rocked Reebok Classics in high school and the Reebok DMX was the shit back in the late 90's.

I use to skate in the Ewing’s because they were the extra high tops and held up better than converse vans and air walks.

Me neither...nope, not at all. My daughters just HAPPEN to have 3 pair of Jordans each, a couple pair of Air Max 94s, Nike boots, Air Force 1s, and then have some "beater" UA running shoes for sports practice and just running around days. And I totally just didn't by a pair of Retro 3's with the light grey and neon green. And totally don't have like 5 pairs of chucks either. Nope, not at all.

The crab and Old Bay parts are pretty cool, but I'm not a fan otherwise.

What kind of shoes do you wear on a regular basis? What are your formal wear shoes? What are your casual wear shoes? What shoes do you exercise in?

 

Just casual wear, I have mostly Nikes, you have to buy them a 1/2 to full size bigger cause they run pretty narrow, and as we get older and our feet settle and spread out a bit it gets really uncomfortable.

 

My current favorites are some nylon Air Force Ones, black and grey. My White with Grey Air Max 94s which are all leather, and my mesh and leather Air Max 90's. I've got a few pair of chucks, I like the 3/4 height with jeans, and the low tops with shorts. I wear Asics running shoes to exercise or coach in, and my Nike Boots when it's raining/snowing. Lots of Adidas Adilite Slides in the summer for on and off flip flops.

 

I think my current dress shoes are Square Toed black, can't remember which brand though, I want to say Perry Ellis, and then I have a pair of brown 3/4 Tommy Hilfiger dress/casual shoes.

Is it just me or are the popular shoe styles these days fugly or what? It's like the worst trends of the early 90s have been thrown back up and become popular again. Don't get it at all.

I've been cherry picking the good colors in the late 90's styles. The Nike Air Max Tailwind 4 has one that are UMD colors. Got that one. Got the Black and Grey limited edition Jordan Retro 3s too.

allbirds.com makes the best shoes I've ever owned.  

 

1 of my allbirds had a defect where a thread was poking my heel pretty bad.  I used nail clippers to try to get rid of it, but it led to a slow fraying of the back lining.  

 

So 6 months go by, I emailed them the situation, and they sent me a new pair for free.  All I had to do was return the old pair, and they paid for the shipping. 

 

Bottom line, a truly solid company.

I've been tempted to do an all birds. They just don't seem supportive enough, I have bad feet. I know that makes me sound old, it is what it is.

I'm on my third straight pair of Saucony jazz low pros. Super comfortable. They last me about two years as my everyday sneaker which I wear basically any time I'm not wearing boots.

Bought a pair of Allen Edmonds dress shoes after Christmas.

Got them from Nordstrom Rack...or else I wouldn’t have bought them because no way I’m paying $425 for shoes.

I've been on a severe Adidas kick the last 4-5 years. Every shoe I've bought, for the gym, for casual, for golf, whatever. The Cloudfoam is legit. Just bought a second pair of Inikis.
