I am planning on writing an article (or series of articles) where I rank the best breweries to visit in this region.

I still plan on visiting a few more (visiting brand new Suspended Brewing in Pigtown today) before I start writing. So if anyone has any suggestions or just thoughts on this topic, feel free to post.

Never been to Union but it looks awesome.

Vanish is a must. Awesome space. Bring you kids and/or dog.

Flying Dog is a cool visit.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I've been to the others, but hadn't even heard of Vanish so thanks for that. The location may make it hard for me to get out there within the timeline I want to get this article done by, but it can always be updated in the future.

The douche chills in this thread.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

I've been to almost all of these and have plans on going to the ones I haven't in the near future.

One of those will be ranked rather highly and some others could make the list, especially if I expand it past 10.

Ellicott Mills Brewing Co.
Red Brick Station
The Brewers Art

Cheating a bit with these ones, but still good to visit.

Just got back. They only have 4 beers of their own on tap right now, but one was tremendous, two were quite good, and the other was solid. Based on the vision presented by the brewmaster during the tour and the beer itself, I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes Baltimore's best brewery in the not so distant future.

Note that I don't think that bar is as high as in some other places as Baltimore has a decent amount of breweries, but none are elite IMO.

BTW, in terms of checking it out, they still haven't opened for normal business hours, but they just started having tours and tastings on weekends for $12. This weekend sold out in advance.

Vanish is better in the spring/summer/fall. So don’t rush there.

It's all about preference, but Union is my favorite. I'd call it elite by beer standards, though the brewery/bar itself isn't much. But picnic tables and cornhole outside, friends, great beer, that's all I need. I can't wait to see their new space.

If anyone hasn't tried their AM Gold yet, go down there and do that, and you'll want to take a growler home.

I have created a rubric and scored around 40 breweries. #beergeek  #douchechillz

Having two unexpected days off certainly helped with the productivity.
